What We See in Marietta Homes
Marietta has several housing markets, and each has its own heating and cooling problems.
Around the Square: The historic homes along Church and Cherokee Streets, and the bungalows and mid-century ranches nearby, have had their HVAC systems replaced two or three times, often by whoever bid lowest. We regularly open a closet and find a furnace that doesn't match the coil above it. Mismatched equipment runs less efficiently and wears out sooner. Many of these homes also have tight closets, crawlspace ductwork, and additions that were never sized into the original system.
East of I-75, toward East Cobb: Neighborhoods like Indian Hills date back to the late 1960s. Homes here sit on large, wooded lots, and many have been renovated or expanded. Most have two systems. The zoning is a common trouble spot: when the second unit or an addition went in, the airflow often wasn't rebalanced, so the upstairs runs hot while the main floor stays cold.
West Marietta, out Dallas Highway and Macland Road: These subdivisions went up mostly in the 1990s and 2000s. Many still have their original builder-grade equipment, which is now 20 to 30 years old. We see a lot of failing compressors, leaking evaporator coils, and attic ductwork that has sagged or come apart over years of Georgia summers.
South Marietta, near Dobbins: Victory Heights was built in the 1940s to house workers at the Bell Bomber plant. The homes are smaller, and many were never designed for central air, so duct routing and equipment sizing need extra care.

Marietta questions we actually get
How fast can you get to Marietta?
Our Kennesaw shop on Barrett Park Drive is about 20 minutes from Marietta Square, so Marietta calls are close to home for our crews. Same-day service is available in most cases for AC repair, heating, plumbing, and electrical. Call 404-366-9620 and we'll give you a real arrival window, not a guess.
Will you work on a system this old?
Yes. We've serviced equipment in Marietta that's older than most of our technicians, including a 1961 Carrier heat pump we repaired earlier this year. We won't push a replacement if a repair makes more sense. We'll give you a quote before we start and won't replace a part unless it's needed or we can show you it saves money. If a new system is the better call, we'll explain why and show you the numbers.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Estes offers special financing through Wells Fargo, with approved credit, so you can spread the cost of a new AC, furnace, or heat pump over monthly payments. You can apply online, or ask your technician or comfort advisor to walk you through it.
Do you pull permits in the City of Marietta?
Yes. The City of Marietta requires a permit for new or replacement HVAC systems, water heater replacements, and most gas, plumbing, and electrical work. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection, and make sure the job passes. If you live in unincorporated Marietta, we handle the Cobb County permit instead.
Are your technicians employees or subcontractors?
Our technicians are Estes employees, not subcontractors. They drive Estes trucks, wear Estes uniforms, and get ongoing training from us. Estes has been family-owned and operated since 1949 and is a Carrier Dealer Hall of Fame member. The person who shows up at your door works for us.
