It's with deep regret that we inform our customers and the community that Charles Wright, a staple at Estes Services for more than 50 years, passed away on the morning of April 8. He was 92.
Charles was Estes' third employee, hired in 1953—just a few years after N.B. Estes founded the company in 1949. Charles worked primarily as a sales representative until his retirement and served our customers with kindness and honesty. He was a vital reason for the success of Estes Services for many years.
Charles loved Estes, and we loved him. Even after he retired for the first time, his passion for the job kept him returning to his work and the Estes family.
We recently spoke with Charles' son, who told us that his father lived a great life and will be sorely missed.
Unfortunately, due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, there will be no public funeral services. Anyone wishing to send flowers or condolences to Charles's family can do so at the address provided.
